Okay... so really the picture has nothing to do with the post.. but isn't she so "pinch-her-cheeks-adorable"?
It is 11:05 and I'm still up.. this is crazy for two reasons! A#1- I'm never up at this hour. I can't believe I'm actually awake and B#2- with Anna teething, I'm going to be exhausted in the morning! I need to go to bed. I'm crazy for being up!
Before lights-out I just wanted to tell you what's going on over here. Creative juices are flowing; that's what!
Right now I'm working late nights and long days on some stain glass for an up coming art show (I think I mentioned it to you in an earlier post). I am currently doing a noah's ark piece that is shaping up to be my BEST... EVER. I may not be able to part with it! Can't wait to show you!
Secondly (a shout out to my grandmother who has ALWAYS encouraged me to do this) I'm working on a children's book. Anna may be the only child ever to read it but I'm going to do it anyway. I'm still praying through the story line and such but hopefully I'll have a page or two to show you soon!
Thirdly- I've got some fun sewing projects I'm hoping to get to soon... nothing for the little this time though... something for ME. I've got to get this art show behind me first.
Okay... I'm off to bed!
I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow... until then:

that's really funny because i've been working on a children's book too! i've finished all the writing and I'm starting on the pictures soon. I think I'm actually going to try to get it published. even if it never does, that's ok..it will just be fun to try. you should try to publish yours, too! what's it about?

Mine is called Sky Soup. It's about a little girl who goes to stay with her grandmother because her parents are getting a divorce. She cries in the night and can't sleep, so her grandmother makes her some Sky Soup. She brings a bowl of water and sets it on the windowsill so that the sky reflects into the bowl. Each night that the sky is different, the soup tastes different (even though it's really just water.) so the little girl forgets all about the divorce because of the "magic" of the soup. one day, the grandmother doesn't bring it and the little girl gets soooo upset because it makes her forget her sadness. so the grandmother sits down with her and tells her that forgetting your sadness isn't always the best way to deal with things...that sometimes you need to talk about it with someone you love. so the little girl tells her grandmother about all her feelings. in the end, her father comes to pick her up, and she knows everything is going to be ok. :) that's just a really condensed version.
