Erma Jean's "tunk show"

Erma Jean? Who is that?

IMG_4865

Erma Jean is my grandfathers old buick century that he passed down to me back a few years ago. My grandfather had her for about three years and put approximately 7,000 miles on her. Yes.. SEVEN! Now I've had her for about three years and she has a name and about 70,000 more miles!

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I'm OBVIOUSLY (as you will soon see) a "packrat".

4 cd's (BB King and Shirley Q Liquor...don't ask!), an old letter, a bottle of febreze, two pens, a pencil, a prescription bottle (full), an old purse, a box of paper clips, a nickle and two rocks.

I know what you are thinking and you will be glad to know that most of this was soon thrown away.

Casey asked that I note that the 47 paper clips: IMG_4854

Were scattered all over the back of the trunk.. NOT neatly placed in the box like the picture shows!

The letter was from a good friend David. Yep.. you, David. If you don't remember ever sending me a letter it may be because it's SIX years old!! Yep.. in 2003 you wrote me while I was working at Camp!

And... if you remember my "ware-wolf dog" story.. I'd love to know what that was all about. Ha!

No offense but I "chunked" it.

The rocks ( I know, who keeps rocks?) were from Fall Creek Falls - A SUPER NEAT place!

The paper clips I kept along with the Febreze, the nickle, and the pencil!

The purse is up for grabs if anyone needs a cute brown and pink purse with a "MgM" monogram!

I also found this neat little find in the back of the trunk. I don't think I even knew it was there. It was my grandfather's I'm sure.

a cute umbrella. I'm keeping it too!

Just so you know... I keep my tahoe MUCH cleaner... If I were to go clean it out.. I'm quite sure we wouldn't find anything interesting!
BUT, I'm sure all YOU want to know is what the Squirm-worm was up to...

I'm not quite sure... looks like she was counting how long it will be before the next "trunk show". With Casey around.. my guess is two weeks... ha! He's an organized packrat!

The rest of our weekend was fun too-

Saturday we went to some Outlet Malls that aren't too far away. It poured rain and the power even went out for a little while- but, that didn't stop us!

She loved it really!

YES- I made Casey stop in the rain to get a picture... but it was just a light sprinkle at that point =)

Yesterday after church and cleaning out Erma we went to play golf with Joey. Jessica joined us too. It was fun but we played TERRIBLE!
Anna had a good time...

She LOVES to be outside and cries to come in!

Last night I worked late on some stainglass for an upcoming art show!
That will be the story of my life for the next few days!

Enjoy your SweetMonday today!!

  1. Sweet! My truck stays so nasty, it is pathetic. Casey is so sweet to clean it out for you. Isn't it nice being married to a neat freak?!? Morgan is one too, and I LOVE it!

BTW, you didn't tell me ya'll had outlet malls near by! I'm really going to have to come down before ya'll move :)
