yet another picture!
Please don't be confused:
As adorable and precious as this picture is... it in no way depicts an actual image of our day!
....and, yes Houston- I managed my fantasy football team BEFORE I did this post. I will check my team EVERYDAY during the "25 million hours" that I spend on the computer....
I'm soooooooo going to win this year! (again)
For everyone else... Have a great friday/weekend... hopefully I'll be uploading pictures of a fresh new bathroom in a couple of days!

ntc: chapter three
Pretty in Pink!
So the whole bathroom is now a pretty little shade of "ballet slippers" by Benjamin Moore. My goal of being finished by Saturday is looking good!
Anna and I have a pretty good schedule going.
She has been a huge help all day... laundry, dishes, napping (so I can paint), reading to Big Bear, keeping a good eye on Huntley, and playing happily in her crib (so I could clean her room and the kitchen).
Yesterday was good. Today- well, it is 8:15 and we are currently on meltdown number 4 or so.. could be a long day!

nap time chronicles: chapter two
Incase you missed it- nap time chronicles: chapter one can be found HERE
During today's naps I finished stripping all the wall paper, taped off the bathroom and prepared to prime... and when Anna fell asleep tonight I learned lesson one of my nap time projects...Make sure you have ALL your "must-haves" BEFORE your child is sleeping soundly in her bed!
It wasn't until Anna was comfty-cozy in her bed with dreams of sugar plums in her head that I realized we didn't have any rollers! So...... I was left to prime the room using a little ole paint brush!
You better believe the photos tomorrow will have a roller in them!
I'm sure you noticed that I decided to paint over the wall paper. Yeah.. I was totally thinking about keeping it but then last night I had a vision... so, after a wonderful night's sleep (thanks to Anna not waking up all night) and a trip to Benajmin Moore and Lowes this morning... the vision began. And, if the bathroom turns out half as cute as it is in my head it will be AWESOME!!
You'll have to stay tuned 'til the end of the week and hopefully I'll have pictures of the finished project!

Our "wake-time" hours have been spent doing this:
...that is code for crawling all over the den making a mess and having a blast!

Noah's Ark!
I love this piece. Most of my pieces look best when the sun shines through but I think this piece looks great up against the wall. If it doesn't sell I may have to put it in Anna's bathroom!
Have a good day!

nap time chronicles
This morning while this sweet child was napping I did this:
re-grouted the bathroom floor!!
I can't believe I'm going to show you the "before" photo. It is embarrassing how horrible it looked! The floor is close to 30 years old so it's no wonder it's so disgusting!
It makes all the difference now!
During Anna's afternoon nap I started stripping the wallpaper from Anna's bathroom. You'll never belive what I found underneath!!
This is the same exact wall paper Sarah and I had in our bathroom as kids! If you go to my parents house now it's still there! Small world!
I may leave it.. it sure beats the "bachelor-pad" wall paper that used to be in there!
I've still got to paint the horrible dark green walls!! I'm thinking a light pink color. I'll let you know when it is finished!!
******** on another note *********
We had a great weekend! My art show was Thursday but because it rained cats and dogs it was cancelled.... Not until after I was all set up and ready to sell of course...
I was up and ready for about thirty minutes before the storm set in. But I'm sure the "big black cloud over my head" {dg-that was for you} was keeping the customers from coming!
It is all for sale if you are interested. The smaller pieces (hanging from the tent) range from $10-$20. The windows range from $200-$300. Just email me (my email address is in the sidebar to the right) if you want one. I also do special orders if you have something specific in mind.
A big THANK YOU to Q and Amy for your purchase!
The rest of the weekend was great! Friday night while Anna stayed with Zannie and Quinton some of the girls got together to bowl... or "watch". (I'm terrible at bowling so I conviently never have socks and you DON"T wear bowling shoes without socks!) It was fun nonetheless.
and because you always have to have a "goofy" picture...
Except Amy and Leah look all cute and stuff!
It was a pretty fun night.
And because I'm not so naive to think you are interested in what I did this weekend here is what Anna did:
Ate sweet potato gerber puffs...
... a LOT of sweet potato gerber puffs!
Played:
with Zannie:
with Quinton:
with Uncle Nate:
with Uncle Houston:
with Hannah and Sara Beth:
with her toys:
and with Miles:
Pulled Up:
and just pulled:
and pulled
and pulled!!!
The weekend was a lot of fun... as always!
I didn't get any pictures of Anna with Aunt Say-Say.. but Aunt Say-Say managed to get behind the camera...
...and take what could be the cutest picture ever!
Y'all have a happy day!
I'll be back tomorrow with hopefully more nap time chronicles.. I'm re-doing BOTH bathrooms ("all in a good day's rest")!!!
