It's here...
Thanksgiving Weekend in chronological order:
Everyone arrived at Zannie's and DaddyBen's for lunch on Thursday.
Anna got to meet Wills and David (my two cousins) for the first time:
All Anna wanted to do was walk:
Until Uncle Nate figured out how to stop her in her tracks:
Like her mommy and Zannie, I think she is going to LOVE school supplies! She played with post-its for forever it seemed! It was a hoot watching her try and get the one off of her face!
The one other way to slow the Little down was tell her to "smile for the camera":
We ate a delicious Thanksgiving feast over a beautifully decorated table!
Every year after lunch we have a family talent show. This tradition dates all the way back from when my mom was little (maybe even when my grandmother was little). Everyone has to participate (including non-family members)!
Sorry... there are no photos of the talent show because I was making a video of it.... and.. I promised not to show any clips on here!
I only got one picture during the talent show:
Uncle Houston helping teach Anna how to drink from a straw!
But, I love the talent show!! Even though I don't have a stitch of talent especially when my cousins are all like rock stars!
This year Nate and Lacey tied for first! Nate shot three apples with his bow and arrow from 30 yards away and Lacey sang Proud Mary. They were good!
Quinton's boyfriend, Todd played Guitar Hero for his talent. None of us had ever played before! It wasn't until after we all gave it a shot, that we realized he should totally have been in the running for first place!
Even Casey and DaddyBen played... and did better than me! I was terrible!!
On Friday Mom and Anna and I took a short little road trip to visit my mom's Aunt. Anna wasn't feeling too well so it was a VERY quick trip. We did get to meet Megan and Cathy for a split second though!
Saturday morning we got up early and hit the road over to Mimi's and Paw's! We got to pick up Kennedy for the ride over too! Thanks Special K for keeping Anna company on the road.. she loved having you ride with us.. and so did we!
Saturday afternoon was filled with:
Dance Parties (to Taylor Swift of course!)
Gymnastics (or whatever that is they are doing.. I sure couldn't do it)
and after "helping" Amy.. I wasn't about to try it either...
but I love how hard sweet little Amberly is trying in this picture:
Football:
Hunting (for the guys)
Hanging out:
That night we all had a bon-fire. I'm pretty sure these two had a fair share of S'mores (or something) because afterwards they were hyped up!!
They came out with "crazy hair"
and read my palm. Apparently I am going to live in a Tiki-hut and have 11 children. I am also going to grow up to have $1,000 and everyday I'd be so happy I'd do the "money dance"!! (which they then demonstrated for me):
It was hilarious!
The whole weekend was tons of fun!
Anna wasn't really feeling up to par and by Sunday morning I was down for the count too... but, we still had a blast!
I'll be back soon!
