So I go to get my oil changed and pull into the bay, turn off the engine and pop the hood. All the sudden the mechanic starts pulling out little bits of shredded insulation from my car and says "looks like someone's made a little home in your hood!"
WHAT????
After my mouth drops open and my eyes fall out of my head I manage to ask:
"what do you mean something is living in my hood"
It looks like a little mouse has made a second home in the hood of my car! He's been shredding up the insulation and lets not forget chewing holes in my AIR FILTER!
(they are always trying to get you to buy extras when you change your oil.. there was no denying I needed a new air filter this time)!!
Of course my number one question was, can he get INSIDE the car?? (mainly because the mechanic referred to the "little guy" as a RAT)... I can't go there right now! There is a difference between and mouse and a rat and I'm just going to assume it's a little mouse!
If "stuart little" comes creeping through the air vent or floor board or something I might not panic as much as if I saw the beady little eyes, big ears, and long tail of a RAT!!
Anyway... Casey and I bought mouse traps to put out in the carport and would you believe within one night they were gone! Yep.. GONE (definition: NO WHERE to be found)! My only theory is that a dog ran off with them...
Only I would go to get an oil change and find a mouse nest in the hood of my car!
We've been laughing about it for a couple of days!
