Still Home

We are on day 8 of being homebound with snow and ice! I haven’t left the house at all, and I somehow got super sick. I’m finally feeling better and can get up and do some things around here! The kids have been having fun in the snow, playing laser tag, doing puzzles, having spend the nights, watching movies, cooking, and sledding. Me? I’ve been in the bed for 4 days- reading!

Snow Days

We are snowed in! I love a good snow day… not that I go out in it much! My favorite part is being home with the family. The girls are forced to hang with their mom! Ha!

Movies and Nintendo. PlayStation and TV shows. Books… that’s only me, but I’ve read a ton. It’s been relaxing and fun! 

To hang with Case, you have to go outside… which I did….once!

Today is day three of being home!! I’m not sure what we will do…but we’ll be together, and that’s my favorite part!! 

Living in a college town

When you live in a college town, it’s constant entertainment! For instance, Case and his buddies got all painted up on a Wednesday night to cheer on the Ole Miss basketball team! (He’s the L.)

They had a blast and really helped get the place hyped up!! They were on the Jumbotron a ton, and I saw them on tv several times! 

And, as if that wasn’t fun enough… the next day, people started sending me this wanted poster off the team’s Instagram page. 

Turns out, the team loved all the hype and have invited them to come to a practice one day!! 

No one can convince me that living in a college town isn’t the best place to grow up!! 

My second twin..

Most everyone knows that I’m a twin!

But, did you know I have a second twin?!

I was looking at this picture of me the other day, and it’s crazy how much it looks like Elizabeth!! She acts like me too… we’re stubborn and funny… and totally lovable. Not to mention, we both love a good costume!

She’s my little look-alike buddy….

And… obviously, we are gonna have some fun times together!!! 😜

Turner Family Christmas

We always love to have the Turners for Family Christmas. This year was a little late, and it was a small crowd But, it was just as fun as always!! 

Most of us adults avoid Paula’s camera- ha! She gets some good ones of th kiddos, though! 

They all had a blast!!! And, the adults did too!! 

Texting Prank

This family is a joke family. We love some good pranks and “scare-wars” around here. Tonight, at dinner, Anna was telling us that last night she got in bed and after a solid few minutes, Case popped up singing, “Let’s get this party started!” Apparently it scared Anna to death. Then, we talked about the time she did that to me and scared me to death. But, little did she know, that time, I had revenge planned! 

I stole her phone one day and hacked into her auto-correct. I made it where every time she tried to text “idk” it would type “all I really know is my mom is the best”. 

This is the text thread between her (blue) and her friend, Katherine. It still makes me laugh!

Little did she know I also switched kk to say, “but you should know I think my mom is hilarious!”

This is the conversation she and I had via text once she started figuring it out!! 

Haha! Quite possibly my best prank ever!!! 

Basketball

The girls are both playing basketball for the school this year.

While they are two hours away, Case and I rigged up our own basketball goal for a game! His buddy, Miles came down and shot some hoops! 

It’s about 14” too high, but- it was still a blast! 

But- probably not as fun as making it on the jumbo tron and meeting Brakefield! 

We are living all sorts of different basketball over here and loving every minute of it all!!
