I was going to make just plain sugar cookies for Santa when Anna informed me that she just knew he would rather them be green with sprinkled and candy!
We made six but she said he didn't need six and she could way just one!
now she is trying to convince me that he would be fine with just one if we gave him more milk! ha!

You are probably wondering what she is doing.. well, she is Baby Jesus.. in a manger asleep on the hay with Mary and Joseph and all the animals. Then come the three wise men with their three gifts.
Casey and I sing We three Kings when the wise men come... then away in a manger to get Baby Jesus back to sleep.
She loves the story! and acting it out even more!
I think Zannie was a better "mary" than me tho :)
Anna LOVES her "sparkle shoes" and her special birthday crown! She opened the box and said, "ohhhh, it is my shoes!!!"
This picture is from Sarah. She had a Rainbow Rhythm Band performance last night and Anna got to be a special "guest star". I'm certain she loved it!
She would eat 10 powdered donuts if I let her! Anna and I normally split a little pack.. two each but, Caroline is NOT satisfied with just two.. she isn't satisfied with 4 but I refuse to give her more than that! what can I say.. she loves food!
Anna is at Zannie's for a few days and Caroline is loving life as an only child!
Hard to believe my sweet angel girl is already three years old! And she is soooo excited too!
Could be the ugliest cake I've ever made but it is what she wanted and she us excited!... all that matters!
Are we on to the "friend" stage? I hope so! I can get used to them sitting sweetly reading together! A far cry from the usual pushing, hitting, screaming and biting!
So, I finally finished my advent garland! After changing my "medium" more than once I finally settled on these. Little glasine bags tied up with bakers twine and a red and white scalloped label with the day written in green. I had originally planned on filling each little bag with a verse of the Christmas story but sadly I didn't get that finished. Next year! This year I guess it is more for decoration. I think it will be super cute around the tree but for now it is on the mantle.... and yes, that is this year's Christmas card you see in the photo. They are super cute!
Handmade Christmas ornaments each year! Both girls LOVED painting their ornament! Even Caroline would not let me help... which I'm so thankful for! They are too cute and I'm excited to see how their ornaments will change over the years. All I was "allowed" to do was write their name and the year. Are they not precious? Two precious ornaments for two precious girls!
Me! Amazing how long a box of Christmas stickers, crayons, and construction paper will entertain! who wants a homemade Christmas card? Get 'em while they last :)
This sweet child slept til 8 this morning... after going to bed at 7:30! Her two favorite things these days... Sleep and Food! Just like her Mommy! :)
p.s. Anna up at 5:30! What would I do without a "early bird" husband?
Yes... that is "Junen" our elf on the shelf. Not sure where Anna came up with that name but she was naming him "Junan" and that was that!
The photo on the right is the girls with Santa from last year. I'll put this year's Santa picture in the other frame when we get it.
These girls are getting so excited for Christmas... and with a little help from Junan's watchful eye... they are behaving so nicely!

First time for everything and today was Caroline's first time for popcorn. She LOVED it... naturally- it is food!
Today I decided to let Anna paint lots of little sun catches.. just for a little (time-consuming) activity. As she was painting I thought these would be cute handmade ornaments for our Christmas tree! She is having a blast no matter what they become!
Casey got a bike with a seat for Anna or Caroline on the back for his birthday. She couldn't wait to go for a ride!
This morning Anna and I had a little art lesson. I would say this drawing was 95% Anna and 5% me. I drew a picture of a school bus for her to see and gave her the colors then told her what shapes and such but she drew it and colored it. She was so proud so I put it in a frame.

p.s. one funny:
yesterday we were watching mickey mouse and mickey always asks "will you help us?" so- I asked Anna is she was going to help mickey and as serious as she can be she looked at me, pointed to the t.v. and said- "well, I don't live in there''... silly me. of course she doesn't!
Caroline is trying so hard to be just like big sister, Anna! She can't quite flip all the way over by herself but she sure is having fun trying!
I finally organized the pantry! No help from Caroline despite the photo :)
The wire racks on the walls I got from Walmart and what a life savor they turned out to be. really opened the shelving up! I'm sure it will last a week :)
She is comfy and cozy waiting on daddy and Anna with our pizza!....Very much glad to be back at home...
okay, I scrapped the felt for my project and moved to paper. I plan to use the felt for some fun letter/number "flash cards" for Anna tho. I'm making an "advent garland" to hang on our Christmas tree. Each day will have a little happy for the girls plus part of the "christmas story" from one of the gospels. A fun way to count down to Christmas! finished product pics soon to come (when I finish). see ya soon!
