Hello Everyone!
I have a very exciting announcement to go along with the super awesome painting shown above..

I've been helping my mother for the past couple of weeks get her wonderful new blog up and ready and she launched it today!
This blog will be going along with a 6 week study she is teaching called Crossings: Life Lessons from the Book of Joshua. The great thing about the blog is you don't have to be able to attend the Bible Study to participate! The blog is designed for those of us that live out of town to follow along however we can. There will be a printer-friendly version of the lesson on the sidebar each week for us to read the passages and answer the questions. Feel free strengthen your participation by sending your feedback in the comment section of her blog. Occasionally there will be a few "guest-speaker-posts" from Shay Brannon, Judy Howard and myself.

I couldn't be more excited about this blog and how God is going to use my mother, her Bible study, and her blog to speak to so many! I hope you'll 'pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea' and come join us on our exciting journey with Thee!

Her Moment...

This afternoon the little "stink-bug" (this is what I call her in moments of her stubbornness)refused to get in her car seat. AND.. just incase you don't have a little stink-bug of your own, it isn't always as easy as you would think. She would arch her back and then slither out of her seat as fast as she could (before I could stop her).
She thought it was the most fun game ever.. and this is why I'm sure breaking out the camera didn't help! But after trying to get her in her seat 5 times I thought.. goodness I'll just let her play for a bit..



I figure she must have thought it was so fun because it's like a treasure hunt in the back seat.. you never know what you might find back there!

I said, "Anna, no, no we've got to go!".. you see how well she listened!


She's a mess for sure.. but really, I can't complain too much! Y'all have a good afternoon too!

Bring on the Easter Bunny!

Anna is all ready for Easter! Just incase you were wanting a little preview of her Easter dress....

She's so excited for Easter! We've been practicing hunting for Easter Eggs.. she loves this so much. I only wish I had some photos of this!! Maybe later this week... but, definitely on Easter!!

Tacos, Tacos, Tacos!

Peanut was really wanting Taco Bell last night (I know.. you're probably really grossed out right now... sorry). BUT, none-the-less, what Peanut wants- Peanut gets!
Anna hasn't ever had a taco before but somehow I knew she'd love it too... and she DID!!



She couldn't get enough!



And yes... she is a "jaybird"... (but I didn't want taco to end up all over her clothes).

A Beautiful Day For a Trip to the Zoo!

Anna LOVES animals and as I mentioned yesterday... she's OBSESSED with being outside so it seemed necessary that a day as beautiful as today should be spent at the zoo!
Normally she loves the Tiger but today he was a bit boring.. BUT.. thankfully, the Jaguar was up and going!



She couldn't get enough of him...



She couldn't decide which animal was her favorite...



...but the Emu was definitely one of her favorites!

I don't know why.. he sort of scared me to death:



But Anna couldn't get enough of him!





The Zebras were also pretty interesting...



Really, as long as she wasn't stuck in the stroller she was happy to look at anything!.. Finally I found a remedy for that- (staying in the stroller..that is):



She'll do anything for a sucker!

And speaking of.. she's digging out the other one from my purse right now!!

We're Back...

Spring Break was a well-needed "mommy-break" for me and a fun vacation with the grandparents for Anna. Unfortunately for Casey it was a normal work week.
I headed to South Carolina with Hannah and even though it was cold and rainy most of the week I had a blast! I think I slept 10-12 hours every night... it was bliss! We spent two days by the pool, half the week in the movie theater and the rest of the time shopping and eating!!

Anna started her vacation with Zannie and DaddyBen... sick.. getting them sick (SO SORRY!)
But, I'm pretty sure they all still had a super wonderful time! She spent the end of the week with Mimi and Paw being spoiled to death by the nice weather!

She's addicted to "the Outside".. it's all the child wants.. to be outside! That's wonderful by me except for today it's cold! Coming in from Chick Fil A this afternoon she literally fell to her knees and then down to her belly on the driveway and proceeded to have a little crying fit because I was making her come inside. I'm sorry.. it's 40+ degrees and she spent the better half of last week sick with a cruddy cold. Her fit didn't last long once she realized it wasn't working. (Plus I think mentioning that she must be exhausted and clearly needed a "night-night" seemed to "click"!)
She's a mess!
Tomorrow is suppose to be in the 70's so I'm going to try and take her to the zoo!

As for life: it's absolutely insanely crazy at the moment- not having a house, trying to find a house, possibly building a house, living with Joey, never being in town, always out of town... things are insane!
Pregnancy is good.. as long as I don't try to clean out the fridge again!! (Bad Idea)

Okay.. well, I'm sorry there are no pictures. I'll try to post one or two later. Would you believe me if I told you that I'm in the process of cleaning off my computer because my hardrive is in serious danger of crashing! I can't upload any pictures at the moment.. but I'll get some soon!

Put the bow in and then the sunglasses.. she forgets about the bow because she's too caught up with the sunglasses!

Hey There!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Our's was very laid-back and relaxing. We didn't do a whole lot. Peanut forced me to take lots of naps.. which he (or she) is pushing for another as we speak! =) Casey and Joey worked on the Kitchen remodel and Anna played outside a lot (with supervision of course)! She loves to play outside. ( I think we're going to go to Walmart and get a ball -or something-today.) I'll let you know how she likes it!



Okay, so Anna's hair is a bit out of control! BUT... yesterday she wore a bow all through Sunday School and Church (that is HUGE). She looked so cute.. I'm trying to warm her up to the whole "bow" idea but it's much easier said than done!



Well, I'm sorry there isn't too much exciting to post about. I'll be back tomorrow... I think we might go to the ZOO!!

Pickles!

I've been meaning to post this picture. Last week a friend and I went to lunch and Anna was basically begging for her pickle. I never thought she'd like it but who am I to assume. We gave it to her and can you believe she LOVED it?

After Church on Sunday night Casey, Anna, Joey and I went to another little sandwich shop and once again she had her heart set on the pickles! I don't know where she gets it... neither Casey or I just love pickles. In fact I hate them!

Weekend-ing!

Thankfully our weekend ended up like this! Warm, Sunshiny, and Feeling GOOD!

Yesterday was SOOO nice. I'm definitely ready for the sun to stay out and so is Anna! She absolutely LOVED getting to play outside!

I think she was singing or "yelping" for joy or something here:



Our weekend started out sort of rocky when Anna started coming down with a little crud. She really didn't seem to feel bad at all. She was her normal perky, quirky, energetic self... but she just had bad drainage. Saturday we just went about our day normally and she seemed to be doing pretty good. As long as we kept a kleenex handy we were good... or so we thought! Saturday night we decided to eat supper at Mellow Mushroom. (Yes, we have one of those near-by!) I or the baby inside me was really excited about this pizza! Anna seemed happy and good too. When the pizza came we all dug in (until about the 5th bite) then all of the sudden Anna's guts let loose if you know what I mean! She had just swollowed so much drainage that her little tummy couldn't handle it. Needless to say I got Anna out and to the car while Casey got the pizza to go and we hit the road! Once we got home Anna was fine again. She had meds, bath, and bed and surprisingly slept pretty well. And Casey and I weren't too pumped up about our pizza anymore.. it was just SO good piping hot! (Just one of the small sacrifices parents make...haha)

But,now you know why I was SOOOOOOOOOO glad when yesterday rolled around and she felt up to playing in the sunshine!



That is, until Mr. Joey hurt her feelings by making her turn around because she was getting too close to the road!



How wonderful was it to see such glories through the weather yesterday too! At this rate it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it never got below 60 again! I'm so sick of winter.. I can't imagine how you feel in NY, Boston, Canada... I'm sorry. Please don't hate me for posting about our warm weather and complaining about our (not really all that cold) winter!

Anna is back feeling a little under the weather. I may end up taking her to the doctor if it doesn't start to clear up.. but hopefully, I won't have to!

Oh.... What are y'all eating for supper this week? Random! I know. But, sometimes I get in the worst cooking rut and I have trouble stepping outside the box. I feel like we always have the same thing and I'm ready for something different... Any Ideas? If you have a thought but don't want to leave a public comment feel free to shoot me an email. My address is on the sidebar!
