Our first soccer game is tonight!! Anna got number two which was both my number and Casey's number!!! Fun times!!

Creative Consequence Jar!

Anna and I made a "creative consequence jar" today. 10 consequences for childish behavior and not minding. Misdemeanors if you will :)
For instance running in the house! Doesn't necessarily call for timeout but maybe a 10 minute clean-up will put a stop to the running!

I'll keep you posted on how this works :)

Gonna Be A Bear!

This was read at a ladies luncheon I attended last week. I'm unsure of the author but she TOTALLY captured how I feel :)

"In this life, I'm a woman.

If I believed in reincarnation, I'd want to come back as a bear.

When you're a bear, you get to hibernate.

You do nothing, but sleep for six months...

I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid...

I could deal with that too.

When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of a walnut) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs...

I could definitely deal with that.

If you're a mamma bear, everyone knows you mean business.

You swat anyone who bothers your cubs.

If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too...

I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling.

He EXPECTS that you have hairy legs and excess body fat.

Yup, gonna be a bear!"

We got in the car after practice and Anna says, "okay mommy, that will be enough soccer!"
I said, "Anna! You are good! You didn't have fun?"
She said, "I did but its just so hard!"

She had a tough time not touching the ball with her hand but other than that she did pretty good! I think she will like it in the end!

Caroline on the other hand cannot wait to play!!!!

Daycare

So, I walk in the bedroom to this picture and hear:

Caroline- "Anna I'm stressed out"
Anna- "why Caroline?"
Caroline- "because they all poo-poo in their pull ups"
Anna- "oh, that's no problem Caroline! We can change them!"

Dare I ask what they are doing... Playing daycare!!

First Soccer Practice

Anna had her first glimpse of soccer last night! She said she thinks she will like it.

"It was so crazy. Everyone was running and running. It was wild but my forehead didn't get wet so I think I will like it"

Who knows how it will go over once the weather gets warm and she does sweat!

Anna is the new born in the "crib" and Caroline is the mom. They r too much!!
