Anna's Pink Pea Coat!

IMG_7058

There was a chill in the air today. I wasn't too excited about that.... until... I realized I could put Anna in her new coat. (BabyGap)
I think she loved it too. But really, I think she was just so excited for Casey to get home -AND- of'course she loved watching Huntley roam.

IMG_7059

Must I really say anything? I feel like these pictures speak for themselves. Just incase they don't... Is she not so stink'n cute in her blue jeans and pea coat?
Okay... I know I'm partial and eventually I'm going to have to quit telling her how darn cute she is or she's gonna get the big head... but today I'm just sayin'...

IMG_7061

I could squeeeeeze her I love her so much! I just can't believe she is ten months old today!! She is getting to be such a big kid!!!

Okay...I saved my personal favorite for last:

Time with Mimi and Paw!

Anna just had the best time yesterday and today!!

She LOVES anything that she can rock with...

IMG_7024

IMG_7023

IMG_7021

But she really loved this "cow chair" because it worked double as a rocker AND a slide!

IMG_7027

She would just laugh and laugh after she slid down!!

IMG_7028

She also loved reading with Mimi... BUT... she ONLY likes the interactive books (like "Where's Spot")

IMG_7006

IMG_7007

And flying around the room with Paw!

IMG_7004

Tonight when we got home she gobbled down some turkey and black-eyed peas... she loved them so much.. and loved smashing them up on her face too!

Heading Out...

IMG_6940

I know this photo has nothing to do with my post but, I just think it is hysterical! I'm tagging it as her "I ONLY WANT TURKEY" face. Turkey is her new favorite food and she absolutely LOVES it!!

Now.. on to the post:

A couple of things-

A#1- I'm heading out to do a stainglass workshop for a ladies group. I'll be back at the end of the week! Anna is going to get to hang out with Mimi and Paw for a day or two!

AND

B#2- I'm so sorry if the video didn't load for you. I may end up having to take it off. Hope not.. it's a really cute video. She was laughing so hard everytime she threw that bear out of the crib. She's a mess!

Okay.. well take care these next couple of days and we'll be back!

Video

OH SO EASILY ENTERTAINED!!!

Hopefully I'll get the "elephant voice" soon....

Fall!

I've been wanting to change the photo in my heading to something more "fall-like". I can safely say that October 13 is FALL! Even though sometimes it sure feels like mid-August... it's FALL!!

So... after wanting to change the photo for a few weeks now (and I'm still not 100% happy with it), I FINALLY put together a little five minute "photo-shoot" with Anna. It was starting to spit rain so it truly was just a few minutes... but she LOVED it! I think some of the photos came out super cute! Have a look:

All better for birthdays and ball games!

IMG_6835
*all other photos are at the bottom of the post*

ALL BETTER:
That is right.. we are all on the road to recovery in this house! By five o'clock on Friday I was still feeling puny (-oh so very puny) so I took an excedrin migrain. (Not for a migrain... but because this is a miracle drug and I just thought it may help with the achy body and head... it did!!) One excedrin migrain was all I needed to re-enter the "non-sick world". Anna was also feeling much better. She's not near as congested. The only thing we are still dealing with from her illness is her cough. She seems to get choked up a little bit and then go into this big coughing spell. But, even today that seems to have dwindle down to nothing! Last night she slept through the entire night... PTL!!! Whoot, Whoot!!

Now for the BALL GAME:
Sadly, the Rebels lost! It was a terribly ugly game! If I had only had my camera with me I could have snapped a few photos of just how ugly the game was. Even the weather cooperated.. cold, rainy and UGLY! I can safely say that the Rebels played absolutely terrible! The defense put up a great fight but I'm convinced that the Rebel's offense could not of scored a touchdown against my nephew's flag football team! There is just no other word to describe Saturday than: Ugly!

Speaking of my nephew... it brings us to the BIRTHDAY of the weekend!!
Samuel turned 8 yesterday! He had a swimming party.. an indoor swimming pary of course! He was loving it. We didn't get to stay too long because I really wanted to get back home in time for my Beth Moore Bible Study... more on that later... but, I was glad we got to go for a little bit. It was fun!

Overall the weekend turned out to be great.. other than the football game being such a bust.. it was a fun "non-sick" time!!

Thank you ALL for the messages, phone calls and emails checking on Anna... a small gesture that means a lot!! I'm SO excited to say that she/we are all much, much better!!

Hopefully I'll be back later this week with a video clip of the Little doing her "elephant" voice.. She just started doing this yesterday.. and I mean once she realized she could make this "super cool noise" she did it for about 30 minutes straight on the drive home. She is a mess.. that is for sure!!

And now for the PICTURES of the weekend:

The Birthday boy and his swimming party:

Amberly came for the chips I think:

Anna was passed around like a hot potato (BUT, she loved it!):

And Samuel loved all of his football stuff we got him:

I hope to be back soon with a fun little video clip!! Until then y'all have a SweetMonday!!

news: good and not so good...

The GOOD news is that Anna is much better!! The doctor did see signs of a little infection in her throat so she put her on an antibiotic for a few days. I can tell she is feeling much, much better. The NOT SO GOOD news is that now I'm afraid that I am getting what she has/had. I sure hope she wasn't as achy as I am! I feel like I've had 17 flu shots... but no temperature so that is good!!

Anna's check-up went pretty well. She had to have some lab work to check her iron levels and stuff and she HATED it. I felt terrible for her because the nurses couldn't find her little vein for the longest time. She was just screaming her little head off. Afterwards they tried to give her a sucker but don't you know my little "Picky" isn't about to put anything in her mouth.. even if it is candy! I tried explaining to her that if she'd just taste it she'd probably love it but there was no compromising on her side. The nurses thought it was the funniest thing. I mean what child doens't jump at the chance for a sucker? Littly Picky!!

Well, Casey is definitely heading to the football game this weekend but, Anna and I may or may not go.. just depends on how the afternoon goes.

Hope you all have a HappyWeekend!!

doing much better now...

Anna seems to be feeling a lot better than yesterday (and even this morning). It is amazing how fast they can bounce back! She's been "roaming" all over the den this afternoon and even spent some time at the back door watching Huntley. (This was a big deal.) Now we're just hoping she sleeps through the night tonight!

Just thought I would let you all know!

Have a good night!

An Update on "Sick-y"...

Anna seems about the same right now as she was yesterday... BUT... last night: NOT the case!!

Casey and I tried to prepare ourselves for a night of little sleep but I don't think either of us knew what we were going into! Poor little Anna was up all night long just miserable and uncomfortable and crying, crying, crying! Casey and I took turns taking her to the recliner and rocking with her.

Casey spent the majority of the first part of the night asleep with her in the recliner. The middle portion of the night I spent trying to console her by rocking and singing to her. And the late-night-early-morning shift Anna was reclined back on our bed in between me and Casey listening to us sing about 500 rounds of "Jesus Loves Me"! She finally gave out and we all three slept for a little while. Morning came WAY too early!

I thought today was going to be disastrous after she threw up all over herself, me, and half of the house but it's turning out okay. Right now she doesn't have fever and she's not completely and totally miserable... she's just a little needy. AND- needy I can deal with!! We've watched two episodes of Grey's Anatomy (don't worry- we read "there's a wocket in my pocket" about 100 times during the show so she wasn't really "exposed" to too much soap-opra drama- that was just me). She ate a good lunch and she's now "roaming" about just a little. The only "easy" thing about her not feeling good is that she actually wants to just recline back with me on the couch and watch a show or read a book or just "talk"!

Thanks to all of you that have checked in on her. She seems to be doing better today. I will check in tomorrow after her doctor's appointment with an update. Let's hope tonight isn't a repeat of last night!

under the weather!

IMG_6828

We've been doing a lot of napping today!

Anna is a bit under the weather. I talked to her doctor and she didn't seem to think it was anything more than a seasonal cold. She called in something for the congestion.
Anna has her nine month check up on Friday so if she is still sick we will do a flu test. Hopefully that won't be the case!!
Anyway.. I can tell she doesn't feel good. Besides her nose having a constant steady stream of drainage.. she is just very lathargic and has been happy to just sit in my lap most of today. She's totally attached to her pacifier and not near as much of a "roamer" as normal! Poor baby!!

I'll more than likely check back in Friday and let you know how her appointment goes.
Hope you are all feeling well!!

Oh what a pair!!

IMG_6794

Houston's and Lacey's wedding was Saturday!! The whole weekend was perfect!

**AND- let me start off by saying this is an extremely long post with lots of photos so I apologize if it takes a while loading... but hopefully it will be worth the wait!**

Casey, Anna, and I left Thursday night and drove half way. It really wasn't too long of a ride but it is much easier to drive at night while Anna can sleep some. Plus... it sure didn't hurt that half way from home to wedding just happened to be Mimi's house!!

We left Mimi's and Paw's early Friday morning to get to the Country Club in plenty of time for me to help Zannie, Ms. Judy, and Elaine with the rehearsal dinner decorations.

By the time I got there the decorations were already looking SO good! They clearly didn't need my help... and after watching them work for a bit I wasn't about to touch a thing. It is definitely an art to do flowers... and THEY are flower artists!

IMG_6536

IMG_6539

I just sat back and watched and it truly was like watching three artist at work. This is what they were working with:

IMG_6546 IMG_6543

Buckets of flowers all over the floor!

How do you work from that? I mean I have know clue how you look at all these flowers and STICKS.. (yes, these three flower artist made sticks look amazing ...like from the woods at home- sticks.) and put them together and make them look absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
They were amazing. Mom, Ms. Judy and Elaine-the decorations were amazing and wonderful because YOU are amazing and wonderful!!

I was very happy to help- especially since I was given a job that didn't involve me totally destryoing the centerpieces with my know-nothing knowledge of decorating! I got to do the place cards.

Mom's theme for the Rehearsal Dinner was "What a pair!" The whole room was decorated around the "Pair/Pear" theme. The room was green and brown, there were pears in the arrangements, and the "place cards" were actually cute little jars of pear preserves for everyone to take home with them as a favor. The idea was so cute and it turned out great! The pear preserves even matched the decorations!

IMG_6559

I couldn't resist setting up a little "symbolic photo-op" as I was tagging all the pear preserves.

I snapped a few more shots before I left to get ready for the rehearsal:

IMG_6552

IMG_6561

The room was really coming together!

Rehearsal went well. Ms Judy was doubling up as flower artist and wedding planner. She was wonderful. She was also the "wedding planner" at my wedding and I know that without her help it wouldn't have come together as it did. Ms Judy- once again, you were amazing!... oh, and I'm sorry I caused half of the wedding party to be late =)

We passed THIS on the way to the church and I begged Berry to turn around so I could get a picture (for the blog you know).

IMG_6571

When we got to the church Houston said.. Molly, it will be there when we leave! Then I showed him this next picture and explained to him that it was good we turned around to take it because when we got to the church he was driving by...

IMG_6729

Okay.. so back to the rehearsal...

I thought Lacey looked very pretty and happy!

IMG_6583

We got to meet her three best friends (and other bridesmaids):

IMG_6596

Angie, Tara, and Haven. Angie, if you see this I hope you approve of the picture. I thought you looked good..haha!

And the flower girl and ring bearer:

IMG_6600

Addy and Cooper.

The rehearsal went well. I snapped a few photos but we were not suppose to have a flash so they are a bit grainy.. sorry!

IMG_6605

IMG_6603

IMG_6584

IMG_6579

After Rehearsal it was off the the Rehearsal Dinner. Everything was beautiful and wonderful...including all of the toasts!

IMG_6629 IMG_6638 IMG_6644 IMG_6655

IMG_6659

But Houston's toast was the best... He was so sweet. He told us all how he "loved Lacey to death" and how excited he was to be marrying her. It was sweet.

** AND since I'm on the subject of Houston being sweet... a little side note... Houston was SO excited all weekend. It was just the sweetest thing. When Casey, Anna and I pulled up to the hotel he was waiting on us in the parking lot with both hands in the air like he just scored a touchdown or something! Anyway... it was just really sweet to see and know how happy my big brother was to be marrying Lacey!**

On another note:

Anna did GREAT all weekend. I seriously could NOT have asked her to be any better. I was a little worried about Friday night because it was a REALLY late night for her but she was happy, happy, happy until she realized it was okay to "give-out".. then she crashed in the car!

IMG_6666

AND.. props to Casey... he got her all dolled up and ready for the rehearsal dinner by himself.

Friday night was a beautiful success. Everyone left there happy, full of good food, and ready for Saturday!!

Saturday morning started quite early for Casey and me when Anna woke up at 6am! But, she was happy to hang out with the "other baby" for a little while..haha!

IMG_6738

Anna LOVED walking around the hotel with her walker! I'm SO glad we brought it with us!!

IMG_6741

I LOVE that picture. Doesn't she remind you of a little old lady at the grocery store..haha. She was totally adorable all weekend. And I'm not just saying that because she's mine!

Cathy and Megan came down to the room to visit with Anna for a little bit... she LOVES them. But then again.. who doesn't?

IMG_6750

IMG_6755

Okay... I know it was blurry because they were laughing... but how cute is that?!.. (just sayin'!)

IMG_6756

IMG_6759

The wedding was BEAUTIFUL but unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take ANY photos in the church. BUT, the good news is... the photographer was AMAZING so I'll have some REALLY good pictures to show you... one day.

Until then.. here are some "after-wedding/reception" pictures I did get:

Lots of close friends and family were there:

IMG_6790

IMG_6791

Houston's groom's cake was an Auburn carrot cake!

IMG_6789

Drew and Catherine and little Archer were SO super sweet to come. Archer and Anna hung out together during the wedding. These two cousins are going to be sweet friends I think!

IMG_6787

While Archer was having mashed potatoes Anna was outside getting her picture made with Uncle Nate... it was hilarious.. she was so giggly!

IMG_6784

IMG_6780

This is little Marshall III and he is the cutest Marshall in all the world.. (no offense to Big Marshall and Middle Marshall..haha)I fell in love!

IMG_6778

He's a cutie for sure!!

IMG_6776

Nate and Scott!

IMG_6775

Ms. Lee, Sister Sarah, and Courtney.. Look at Sarah and you can sort of see what our dresses looked like here.. they were long to the floor. Very pretty!

IMG_6768

Nate and Courtney

IMG_6772

Nate and Deloney

IMG_6766

Anna acted like she was going to give Deloney her paci but then took it back.. it was cute!
Behind them was the super awesome Mustang Houston and Lacey drove off in.

IMG_6804

Cathy and Megan helped Casey get Anna all dolled up for the wedding. She looked precious too! What wonderful friends they are!!!

The whole weekend was just super and wonderful. Houston and Lacey were both so happy. It was perfect.

This was the last photo I took of the weekend and I think it's great...

IMG_6797

We are now home and attempting to get things back to normal. Anna slept the entire way home yesterday and then slept from 8:30pm-7:30am and THEN she took a super long nap today from 10:45-1:00... she is now up and roaming around the house so this is the perfect time to end the blog for today.

Houston and Lacey- The wedding couldn't have been more beautiful or more fun! I loved it all. I love you both and can't wait to see you again soon!!!!!

As for everyone else reading: I'll be back!!
