Well, Anna and I are home from the farm. It was a great time and I'll be posting pictures of our day very soon! Until then...

remember our weekend with Maggie, Tommy and Paula? Well, I just got a disc with Paula's pictures... there are some really great ones (including the above photo).

Wow...

Thanks everyone for all of the super nice comments about my hat-venture (HA!)- I'm so glad you loved the hats...especially the white one (my favorite too)! Hopefully I'll have a tutorial for you all sometime soon! Jamie- you will have time. I finished two in "nap-time"!! What I didn't show you on the blog was the first hat (same style as the white one)was a great little floral pattern and could've fit Goliath! I had already tossed it when I got my camera out!


Tomorrow I'm off to the "in-laws" for a little well-needed r&r. Actually, I'm going to take advantage of helpful hands that LOVE this little-



-so I can finish up a project (more about that soon). I know Sam and Tricia can't wait to have a little one on one time with their little Anna and I'm thinking a nap could easily be thrown into my future !!

Hat-chat!

I mentioned in an earlier post that maybe I would try and make Anna a new hat... well, I did! I really can't believe it either. I had a little hat pattern but once I got it out and looked at it I really didn't like it so much so I kind of came up with these two patterns on my own.

If anyone is interested in making them they were pretty "easy-peasy"... Just let me know and I can come up with a little tutorial.

I think Anna liked them. The "bonnet" one needs a little more work but I LOVE the white one!

June 2nd!

Last night I said to Casey, "tomorrow is June 2nd. Do you know what that is?"
After seeing such a puzzled look on his face I said, "I'll give you a hint- it's someone's birthday!"
Our conversation went on like this:

C: your dad's?
M: June TENTH!

C: GB's?
M: August 2nd

M: I'll give you another hint... it is someone in our immediate family.
C: Well, I know it's not my mom or my dad or Rob or Val... Amberly?
M: September 6th

C: Well then it has to be someone in your family. It can't be Sarah obviously, Houston just had a birthday. It isn't Nate because his is in December... so, it has to be your mom...??
M: August 4th

SOOOO... you want to know who in our family is having a birthday today??

As I mentioned yesterday I would be doing laundry, cleaning and cooking-

Have you ever made Barefoot Contessa's Roasted Broccoli? I know many of you are probably thinking... Molly doesn't eat broccoli.. but I do! Ever since I got pregnant with Anna I eat it!! Okay.. yay for me. Anyway, if you like broccoli (or don't) you need to try THIS RECIPE!!
It was great!
Also Darby said I could pass this little happy along! It is a recipe for Fudge Pie that is out of the world easy and delicious!! I bought two pie crust- fully intending on making two pies -BUT the first one I forgot to put in the SUGAR... thankfully we didn't eat this one. I realized it early enough to throw it out before I was blacklisted from my own kitchen! The second one I did correctly and it was super yummy!!

a few things....

When asked Saturday if I came to the golf course to take pictures of the baby or play golf I wish I had said "to take pictures". At least then something good would have come from me being there. Instead I sheepishly put my camera away, put my golf shoes on and went on to play TERRIBLY!

I managed to get a few pictures in...

Big News:



We're MOVING... eventually!
Our house has been on the market for a couple of weeks. There has been a lot of activity so hopefully it will sell soon. I wish I could tell you we were moving back to my home-town but that isn't the case. We are moving a little closer though! It is exciting times...

Okay... well, it's Monday!

That means-

- laundry
- cleaning
- cooking

and maybe a little sewing!!


I think I saw t his little guy get "beeked" three times by a mean bird when he was trying to cross the power lines this morning. It was crazy.. I thought any minute he's going to fall splat to the ground in front of the stroller. Who says a morning walk is boring!

baseball and golf!

This weekend has been pretty eventful for Anna. We went to a little league baseball game Friday night and played golf Saturday and Sunday. I played absolutely TERRIBLE but it was fun! Here are a few shots from Friday. I'll get some from Saturday soon. Hope you all had a fun weekend too!

Why is it that when I am certain I hear my cell phone ringing from WAY across the house and I run through 8 rooms to answer it... it never fails to be my imaginations singing Breathe (2 a.m.) by Anna Nalick in my head. THEN when I am CERTAIN it is my imagination and ignore it... I miss a phone call?!?!

My friends little boy thought he saw something and when he realized he really didn't see anything he said, "Daddy, I think I need to have my imagination checked!" (Totally adorable little boy!)

Well, I may need to get my imagination checked! I've probably knocked out 3 miles today with my "in-house-phone-run-a-thon".

Exhausting!

Okay now that I'm off my soap-box.... back to the blog!!



Casey fed Anna bananas last night. Not sure if she actually ate any or not... what do you think?

Even more than eating, Anna loves outside. She loves to look out the window and watch Huntley and REALLY loves to get in her stroller and stroll down the street. If she is fussy, I can just walk outside with her and she immediately calms down. Today was such a nice day I took her swing outside. She loved swinging while Huntley played and I read my book. Of course I had to try and get some photos!

mornings!

Many of you probably know that I'm not much of a morning person. When I was in High School my twin sister would wake up at 5:30 to get ready for school and I would wake up at 7:05 just in time to get dressed, brush teeth and get in the car at 7:15. I was always more of a night person I guess. I liked to shower and dry my hair before bed so I didn't have to deal with it in the morning. (I still do this sometimes.)
If you asked me know I would say I'm a "day" person. I still have a hard time waking up but by the time Anna goes to bed at 8:00 I'm ready to call it a day!
But even though 6:45am gets here way too soon every day... I'm loving my mornings!! I get up and Anna is always already awake playing happily in her bed. She yaps my head off while she's eating breakfast- (seriously, I don't know how she finds time to eat she babbles so much). And after her bottle it's play-mat time. I don't turn the TV on or anything... just the peaceful sound of Anna's happy yapping in the morning sun!

Weekend with Family!

Casey's family came in town for the weekend and we had a great time!!

Singing!


Although it looks like she may be singing a four-year-old's version of tupac she actually specializes in Hannah Montanna! She's a cutie!



We all went to Eatza Pizza and ate good food and the kids played games. I absolutely hate that I forgot my camera. It was classic!
Samuel (a kid who loves racing more than anyone I know) played the racing games and was QUITE animated! He was so excited and having so much fun that at one point four complete strangers gathered behind him to watch him play the game... it was at this moment that his car went airborne and did 4 back flips and he screamed at the top of his lungs in complete excitement "OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODNESS!!!!" I would have given anything to have had that documented by photos!

Anna played in her exersaucer lots of the time and was always entertained by someone... here her daddy is down there playing with her! Sweet times!!



She loves it!



Mimi gave her a bath... I think she loved this too!



It was a fun weekend!
Today things are back to normal - Anna's napping, Casey's working (even though he's off), and I'm cleaning, cooking, and blogging!
