Still Waiting

We are still waiting on little Anna to come!
This morning I woke up (wide-awake) at 3:30 so I just got up and did a few things. I got more done before 7am than I have done all day!!
Even still, no baby!
I've been trying to stay off my feet due to all the swelling.. ugghh!
But little Anna has been kicking and jumping and playing soccer all day I think... but no contractions or progression into labor!.
That is okay though.. we will see her Tuesday afternoon!!

A Baby Update!

Well, as many of you know, little Anna was due to come into the world yesterday (decemeber 11)! Unfortunately she isn't here yet but will be here by Tuesday afternoon no matter what!!
a recap of the last few days:
Wednesday I had my regular check up at the doctor. I was very swollen and my blood pressure was high (for me). The baby had made no progress in moving into the birth canal and I was only dialated 1/2 cm. But, because my BP was up the doctor had me come in Thursday to check on it again (high blood pressure can be a sign of Toxemia which can be pretty serious).
When I went to the doctor yesterday to check on my BP it was up even more and I was still pretty swollen, but there was no change with the baby!
Because toxemia was a risk they had me check into Labor and Delivery to run some tests and monitor my blood pressure.
My tests came back great with no problems, the baby looked great,my BP went back down to normal... AND... I was having contractions (woo hoo)
I thought with the contractions being pretty regular that maybe I would start to dialate some and the baby would start making some progress...
NOPE!!
He checked me and I was still only 1/2 cm and she still wasn't making any progress into the birth canal. He said with the contractions I may start dialating and go into labor in the next couple of days.
Well, the contractions completely STOP after we leave. I haven't had anymore since!
Today I went in for an UltraSound to see how big she is. They estimated she was about 7lbs 9oz.
I'm no longer at risk for toxemia but there has been no change as far as baby is concerned. Everything is good and healthy with the both of us!
The doctor went ahead and scheduled a C-section for Tuesday at noon. He said there is a chance I may go into labor on my own (but he seemed doubtful).
They are going to check on Monday to see if there has been any change. If for some reason there is they may go ahead and induce. If there is still no change then I'll have the section.
So that is basically the story... she may decide to come on her own but it isn't looking like it! And, if she did there is still a chance I'd have to have a section anyway!
Either way... she'll be here by Tuesday afternoon....
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SNOW!

Of course we would be having a winter storm the day Anna is due to come into the world!! I took this picture in January when it snowed but it pretty much looks the same this time. We are suppose to get 3-5 inches.
I don't know when little Anna is going to decide to come. At my appointment yesterday we had made no progress as far as dialating goes and she hasn't even started moving to the birth canal. I did exhibit some signs of toxemia so I'm going back today and if my blood pressure is up even more they may admit me... but we will see!
Hopefully my next post will have a picture of a sweet little angel baby!!

Meet Murphy!

This is Murphy.. my new camera! Don't ask why it's called Murphy.. I must name everything!

I LOVE Murphy too.. it takes WONDERFUL pictures. I snapped a few random pictures around the house today just to see how it would do... it did GREAT!

This was one of my favorite photos Murphy made. Isn't it pretty?

I think Murph makes me look like a photographer...haha!

Anna Claire will definitely be here for Christmas. Here is a favorite "first Christmas ornament" from Kelly Mac... isn't it cute!

There is a full moon coming soon so she might be here by the end of next week.... CRAZY!!

Well, be ready to see a lot more of Murphy in action.. especially after little Anna comes!

Then there will be LOTS of photos to see!!

WHY?

Why is a routine oil change never just a routing oil change with me??
So I go to get my oil changed and pull into the bay, turn off the engine and pop the hood. All the sudden the mechanic starts pulling out little bits of shredded insulation from my car and says "looks like someone's made a little home in your hood!"
WHAT????
After my mouth drops open and my eyes fall out of my head I manage to ask:
"what do you mean something is living in my hood"
It looks like a little mouse has made a second home in the hood of my car! He's been shredding up the insulation and lets not forget chewing holes in my AIR FILTER!
(they are always trying to get you to buy extras when you change your oil.. there was no denying I needed a new air filter this time)!!
Of course my number one question was, can he get INSIDE the car?? (mainly because the mechanic referred to the "little guy" as a RAT)... I can't go there right now! There is a difference between and mouse and a rat and I'm just going to assume it's a little mouse!
If "stuart little" comes creeping through the air vent or floor board or something I might not panic as much as if I saw the beady little eyes, big ears, and long tail of a RAT!!
Anyway... Casey and I bought mouse traps to put out in the carport and would you believe within one night they were gone! Yep.. GONE (definition: NO WHERE to be found)! My only theory is that a dog ran off with them...
Only I would go to get an oil change and find a mouse nest in the hood of my car!
We've been laughing about it for a couple of days!

Oak Street Magazine

In A Magazine!

Oak Steet did a holiday magazine featuring quite a few local artists. I was thrilled when they wanted to come by and take a few pictures of my stained glass. I had no idea how much they'd put in the magazine. Anyway, here is a look. (click on the photo and it will blow up so you can read it if you want)

enjoy!

I know it's a little blury... sorry!

We are getting very excited for Christmas over here!
I know it may be "jumping the gun" but we went ahead and put our Christmas tree up last night. The baby could be here any day now and we wanted to have the tree ready when she arrives. Chances are we would be too exhausted to put it up afterwards!

Huntley loved watching all the fun and excitement! When Casey brought the tree in Huntley did an army crawl inside to get a better look. I hated to make him go back out... but sometimes it can be too much excitement for the little guy!

I have a doctor's appointment today but I'm doubting there will be any changes since last week! Pregnancy is 40 weeks; Some get lucky and have the baby a week or two early... but I'm thinking I'm in this thing for the full 40 weeks maybe even longer!

I'll let you know what the Dr. says!

Thanksgiving...

Our Day!

Thanksgiving turned out to be a great day for us. I was a little afraid it was going to be blah and boring since we were not going anywhere... (the baby is only two weeks away), but it was good. We went and ate lunch with a friend of Casey's and his family. They were so sweet to invite us over and we were able to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal instead of going to Western Sizzlin (our original plan). Then we had a little "surprise" visit from some of my good friends from home! (so glad you could come.. that was a wonderful treat!)

Me and Dani
With her sweet boys- Josiah and Ethan!

We had decided a while back that we would go out to eat and to see a movie on Thanksgivng to have something to look forward to. We drove all around and there was nothing open! I mean NOTHING, not even McDonalds. So finally we find TGI Fridays is open and we grab a quick appetizer in order to make the movie. Unfortunately the movie was sold out when we got there! HA! We ended up coming home, watching a movie off of itunes and having a piece of pie!
Overall, I think it was a much better day than we had anticipated!
mmmmmmm..... Casey and I did end the night on a high-note!
His favorite, Lemon IceBox Pie!

On Another Note: I'm Still Growing!

Here I am at 7 weeks and here I am at 38 weeks

Obviously if you know me you know I didn't really WANT to post these photos... BUT, I know how many people are wanting to see. Hopefully I won't gain too much more. I've been fortunate to only gain in my stomach so I really can't complain too much! Sorry if you were NOT wanting to see "belly pics".. (me either really). It is hard to believe she is so close to being here. It won't be long until I'm posting pictures of her sweet little face!!

EXCITING STUFF!!

it's getting close!

Well... I'm enjoying some time with my feet piled up on pillows!
The "uncomfortable" stage of swelling and insomnia has just started (which is a blessing considering I only have a couple of weeks left to go)
Other than that things have been good!
Thanksgiving will be odd not getting to travel home to see family but it will be fine. Casey and I will enjoy the time to be together I know!

FINALLY FINISHED!!

Well, I have finally finished with the Nursery. The curtain rod is complete, the curtains are hanging, and the room is pretty much ready! Here are a few pictures...

I love the curtain rod!

This is not the actual bedspread. This is just to get an idea of what it will look like. I looked everywhere for a white quilt and finally found one at potterybarn.com on sale. So this down comforter is just a little glimpse what the real thing may look like!

Here is a view from the door way. I think the curtains make all the difference! I'm very excited about how they turned out!

Well, I hope you like how it turned out. I am pretty excited. Now all we have to do is get little Anna here! Three more weeks. We are down to the count now...

changing gears

Meet GeeGee!

This was my favorite stuffed animal in the world! (notice how his little nose is practically missing from all the nose-kisses). Mom put him in a shadowbox for me to hang up in the nursery. Isn't that the sweetest thing you've ever seen? I can't wait to put it up. I have nothing on the walls yet (as you may have noticed in the above pictures) but this will have to have a super special place! I LOVE it!! I'm planning a few wall decorations. I need to get going on those, Little Baby could be here any day now!

Nesting!

Mr. Clean has met his match: ME!
This house is beginning to look like we're expecting a Royal visit from the Queen! But we're just eagerly awaiting our "little princess" I guess!
I'm discovering Oxi-Clean for the first time and LOVING it.
I am cleaning up, cleaning out, and cleaning EVERYTHING! Yes, I spent probably twenty minutes cleaning the refridgerator (and that was just the outside of it!) That probably makes my fridge sound gross... but it isn't. I doubt if Casey will even notice a difference.. but I guess that is what "nesting" is all about! Spending hours cleaning things that are already pretty clean!
I'm loving this!
I'm starting at the back door and working my way through the house. In just a few short hours of today I've cleaned the laundry room and half the kitchen..haha!
What fun... well, the finished project will be!

something is up!

I think Huntley knows something is up!
Maybe he senses that there is going to be a little somebody here in 5 weeks! He sure has been "needy" lately!
We don't ever let him inside (he loves outside) but he has just been so sweet and mopey these last few days that I decided to let him come in He just sat beside my chair like this the whole time...(which wasn't too long- I really think he'd just assume me come live outside with him).
He so sweet... don't you just want to kiss his little head? Poor puppy!
He's in for a change but I think he's going to LOVE it! Especially when little Anna is old enought to play with him. I suspect they will be big buddies!
We are all in for a big change and it is so hard to believe that it's only 5 weeks away!
We are getting ready!
